Hsu Che-Yu (b. 1985) is an artist based in Taipei and Amsterdam. Previously, Hsu obtained a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts (Taiwan). Since 2019, he had participated in the residency program in HISK (Ghent, 2019–2020) and Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains (Tourcoing, 2020–2022). In 2022, he begins his two-year art residency in Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. Hsu Che-Yu works as an artist who primarily creates animations, videos, and installations that feature the relations between media and memories. What matters to the artist is not simply the history of events traceable through media, but also the construction and visualization of memories, be they private or collective.

He was awarded the Videonale Award of the Fluentum Collection (Kunstmuseum Bonn, 2021), the Loop Barcelona Video Art Production Award (Han Nefkens Foundation, 2020), the Taishin Annual Grand Prize (Taishin Bank Foundation for Arts and Culture, 2016), and was a finalist for HUGO BOSS ASIA ART (2019).

許哲瑜，1985年出生於台北，畢業於台南藝術大學造形藝術研究所。曾駐村於HISK比利時高等藝術學院（2019–2020）及Le Fresnoy法國國立當代藝術工作室（2020–2022）。自2022年開始，參與Rijksakademie阿姆斯特丹皇家視覺藝術學院兩年期的進駐計畫。作品形式多以動畫、錄像、裝置為主。作品關注媒介與記憶之間的關係，對創作者而言，無論是個人私密的或群體記憶，重要的並不只是透過媒介所能回溯的事件歷史，更是記憶如何被建構與被觀看的過程。曾經舉辦個展包括巴塞隆納米羅美術館（2023）、日內瓦當代藝術中心（2023）、Vernacular Institute（2023）關渡美術館（2023、2012）、尊彩藝術中心（2022）、Vanguard Gallery（2020）、台北市立美術館（2015）、SAT加拿大科技藝術中心（2012）。參與聯展包括「德國世界劇場藝術節」（2023）、「聖保羅雙年展」（2021）、「首爾媒體城市雙年展」（2021）、「阿納姆Sonsbeek四年展公眾項目」（2021）、「事實上，死者並沒有死：成為技術」（符騰堡藝術館，斯圖加特，2021）、「Videonale波昂錄像藝術雙年展」（2021）、「上海雙年展」（2018）、「倫敦設計雙年展」（2018）、「亞洲藝術雙年展」（2017）。參與影展包括IFFR鹿特丹影展（2023、2022、2020、2018）、TIDF 台灣國際紀錄片影展（2022）、NYFF紐約影展（2020）。曾獲 Videonale 波昂錄像藝術雙年展大獎（德國波昂美術館，2021）、西班牙 Loop Barcelona 錄像藝術製作獎（Han Nefkens 基金會，2020）、入圍 HUGO BOSS 亞洲新銳藝術家大獎（2019）、台新藝術獎年度大獎（2016）。
